Travelling members and supporters of our club were in for a treat this weekend as the skills and Villa spirit was put on display for our 50 years celebration over the weekend.

Our under 16s took on United Park Eagles, who currently sit a the top of the ladder in their division. Our boys & girl came out on top in a close encounter, 2-1.

That was followed by our Wide Bay League 2 Men v Sunbury who visited from Maryborough. Great to see a lot of goals put on by our boys with an 8-1 smashing. It was great to see the display and effort from the boys. A valuable result as we approach the business end of the season.

Finally our Wide Bay League Premier Men faced Sunbury. It was bound to be a tough match after their last encounter in Maryborough. It was a physical match which saw a red card given which left our boys with 10 on field for more than half of the match. Even with 10 men, our boys denied Sunbury scoring in the second half and were victorious 4-1.

It was a great afternoon of football which no doubt provided members with plenty of conversation into the evening.

A message of congratulations was received from Aston Villa FC, and we thank them for their continued support and encouragement of our club.
